AFH Day Program

The People’s Day Program is currently paused while Allies for Humanity secures a new indoor location.

We are actively seeking a space that allows us to continue offering trauma-informed care in a warm, safe environment.

Our mission, relationships, and advocacy continue during this transition.

If you know of a potential space or want to partner with us, we’d love to hear from you.

The People’s Day Program

Where dignity meets daily care.

Where sovereignty is remembered.

At Allies for Humanity, our Day Program—affectionately known as The People’s Day Program—is more than a service. It is a sanctuary rooted in dignity, relationship, and care.

The People’s Day Program is currently paused while we secure a new indoor location.

This pause reflects our commitment to offering trauma-informed support in a space that provides warmth, safety, and consistency.

Our mission and relationships continue as we work toward reopening in alignment.

When operating, the Day Program offers an intentional, healing-centered environment where unhoused neighbors are invited to rest, restore, and reclaim their power.

What to Expect When the Program Is Active

Each day is designed to begin with a warm welcome. Guests are invited into nourishing meals, healing-centered community, and access to life-giving resources in a space grounded in trust and care.

Program elements include:

  • Compassionate intake and community care

  • Case management and individualized support

  • Partner services (including StepUp, Overdose Lifeline, and Constellation Wireless)

  • Shared meals, snacks, and connection

  • Music, journaling, art, and storytelling

  • Closing circles for reflection, gratitude, and intention-setting

We meet people where they are—with no conditions, no judgment, and no shame.

Partnership & Accountability

A Living Commitment

We honor our partnership with Broadway UMC by stewarding this space with respect and transparency. Regular evaluations, check-ins, and open communication keep us rooted and aligned in purpose.

The People’s Day Program is a living commitment to dignity, sovereignty, and sacred reciprocity. It is where our neighbors are not only served—but seen. Not only supported—but empowered.

We believe that everyone has something to offer. That’s why we co-create this space with care, consistency, and deep listening.
