Who This Is For
This path is for individuals who want to participate in the Allies for Humanity Time Bank as part of the community.
You might be:
-
Volunteering with AFH
-
Offering your skills, talents, or presence
-
Using time bank hours for access to partner events
-
Exploring mutual aid and community exchange
How Time Works for
Community Members
-
There are no shifts to clock into
-
Time is fluid, not fixed
-
Hours are recorded after service happens
-
Time is based on approximately how long you were present and engaged
For AFH programs:
-
Allies for Humanity records hours on behalf of volunteers
For community-to-community exchanges:
-
Members may record time together in whatever way feels aligned
Mistakes can always be corrected. This system is meant to support people, not penalize them.
Boundaries & Choice
Time bank hours are:
-
Not payment
-
Not wages
-
Not required
Paid work is not logged in the time bank.
Participation is always optional. You are free to say yes, no, or not right now — and you can step back at any time.
Your presence matters whether or not you use the time bank.
